Jesus Calling: March 3
I love you for who you are, not for what you do. Many voices vie for control of your mind, especially when you sit in silence. You must learn to discern what is My voice and what is not. Ask My Spirit to give you this discernment. Many of My children run around in circles, trying to obey the various voices directing their lives. This results in fragmented, frustrating patterns of living. Do not fall into this trap. Walk closely with Me each moment, listening for My directives and enjoying My Companionship. Refuse to let other voices tie you up in knots. My sheep know My voice and follow Me wherever I lead.RELATED SCRIPTURE:
Ephesians 4:1-6 (NLT)
Unity in the Body
4 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 one God and Father of all,
who is over all, in all, and living through all.
John 10:4 (NLT)
4 After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice.
I needed this reminder, as I see God moving in my life. Blocking out the clatter and noise, and staying in close communication with Him, allows me to hear and recognize His voice.
ReplyDeleteAMEN !
ReplyDeleteI've been praying to hear him& the holy spirit. I needed this. Its very hard to know when it's Him talking. But I will NEVER stop trying
ReplyDeleteKeep trying. Sometimes it's hard to know which voice to listen to but remember when Elijah was on the mountain and the Lord passed by. 1st there was a strong wind but the Lord was not in the wind then an earthquake and God was not in the earthquake, then a fire but God was not in the fire, and then a still small voice. You will find it in 1 kings 19:11-13.
DeleteI feel the same! I always hear people say that they hear him speaking to them. I have never heard him, but I never stop trying, either!
DeleteThank You God!
ReplyDeleteSitting still in Peace, with no inner chaos is the most rewarding gift of prayer
ReplyDeleteYou Are My One And Only Shepherd.Lord!
ReplyDeleteAmen.🙏❤️❤️❤️🙏
Our God is so awesome and mighty. I will praise Him forever. Can't wait to be in His presence to praise Him in heaven.
ReplyDeleteAfter he has gathered his own flock , he walks ahead of them , and they follow him because they know his voice. Do you ( the sheep that is us ) know the Shepards (that is Jesus our Lord) voice . If not sure try in silence block out all noises around you and waiting and talk with Jesus either in your mind or out loud he will talk with you . Amen
ReplyDeleteAmen
ReplyDeleteAmen. We will keep striving to know His voice.
ReplyDeleteWow, I started reading her devotionals as of January 1, 2025. I was unable to read a few days due to forgetfulness and having my family visiting. I just googled and found this online and am ecstatic so if I feel I cant pull out the book and bible, this makes it so much more convenient.
