Jesus Calling: December 28

I AM your refuge and strength, an ever-present Help in trouble. Therefore, you don't need to be afraid of anything -- not even cataclysmic circumstances. The media are increasingly devoted to fear-inducing subject matter: terrorism, serial killers, environmental catastrophes. If you focus on such dangers and forget that I am your Refuge in all circumstances, you will become increasingly fearful. Every day I manifest My grace in countless places and situations, but the media take no notice. I shower not only blessings but also outright miracles on your planet.
As you grow closer to Me, I open your eyes to see more and more of My Presence all around you. Things that most people hardly notice, like shifting shades of sunlight, fill you with heart-bursting joy. You have eyes that see and ears that hear, so proclaim My abiding Presence in the world.

RELATED SCRIPTURE:

Psalm 46:1-3 (NLT)
Psalm 46
For the choir director: A song of the descendants of Korah, to be sung by soprano voices.
1 God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
3 Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

Psalm 89:15 (NLT)
15 Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship,
for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord.

Additional insight regarding Psalm 89:14,15: Righteousness, justice, love, and truth are the foundation of God's throne; they are central characteristics of the way God rules. They summarize his character. As God's ambassadors, we should exhibit the same traits when we deal with people. Make sure your actions flow out of righteousness, justice, love, and faithfulness, because any unfair, unloving, or dishonest action cannot come from God.

  5. Praise and thanks to God’s unconditional and unending love. My blessings have come in many forms. The blessings have sometimes come as a result of some difficulties. We must trust and be patient. He hears us, but responds in His time. He always finds a way, so TRUST in Him.

  7. Every challenge we face is an opportunity to be refined and forged into the image of Christ. We are called to to reflect Jesus in everything we do. We are surrounded by chaos, with evil threats all around us. However Jesus is greater than all the attacks of the enemy. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus has won the victory by shedding His blood as the perfect, flawless, Lamb of God. Because of His resurrection and His blood shed in the throne room of heaven, we fight from victory not for victory. When we are aligned with Jesus we cannot lose, no matter what suffering we face in this life. Praise be to God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His sacrifice to redeem us and to send His Holy Spirit to live inside us so we could be redeemed back to the intimate relationship the Father planned for human kind.

  8. Every trial we face is an opportunity to be refined and forged into the image of Jesus. We are surrounded by chaos because Satan has a stronghold on this world until Jesus returns. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus comes to give life. Because Jesus, the perfect, spotless Lamb of God was willing to humble Himself, come to this world as a cell in Mary's womb, sacrifice Himself and rise again to defeat sin, we have access ti intimacy with the Father He planned at creation. Because of Jesus and His perfect blood sprinkled in the throne room of heaven, we fight from victory not for victory. He has given all that submit to Him as Lord of their life the gift of His Holy Spirit living in us. When we are aligned with Jesus we cannot lose, no matter how much we suffer in this world. We have authority in Jesus' name and therefore nothing to fear. May we stand boldly for Jesus and rebuke the enemy when fear enters our mind.
