Jesus Calling: October 27th
As you become increasingly aware of My Presence, you find it easier to discern the way you should go. This is one of the practical benefits of living close to Me. Instead of wondering about what is on the road ahead or worrying about what you should do if . . . or when . . . , you can concentrate on staying in communication with Me. When you actually arrive at a choice-point, I will show you which direction to go.Many people are so preoccupied with future plans and decisions that they fail to see choices they need to make today. Without any conscious awareness, they make their habitual responses. People who live this way find a dullness creeping into their lives. They sleepwalk through their days, following well-worn paths of routine.
I, the Creator of the universe, am the most creative Being imaginable. I will not leave you circling in deeply rutted paths. Instead, I will lead you along fresh trails of adventure, revealing to you things you did not know. Stay in communication with Me. Follow My guiding Presence.

ReplyDeleteI was just saying a prayer not an hour ago, talking to FATHER GOD about my wanting to FOCUS on HIM all throughout each day, but that my mind feels so crowded up by other things that I am having a hard time. I asked Him to please clear my mind so that I can discern The Holy Spirit guiding me. I look up today’s reading here and what does it say???

ReplyDeleteYeshua is the way the truth and life. Following Him thru self will ends in failure and denial like Peter. Follow Him in deep communion and "not my will but thy will" may lead to hardship and taking up the cross and even death but you answer to the Lord, "Do you love me?", like Peter leads to honoring the Lord.

When we follow the way of "Not my will but I will be done" in deep communion with the Lord the way may lead to hardship and even death. But we hear the Lord asking us "Do you love me?" And the way leads to honoring the Lord like Peter.
