Jesus Calling: September 1st
Seek Me with your whole being. I desire to be found by you, and I orchestrate the events of your life with that purpose in mind. When things go well and you are blessed, you can feel Me smiling on you. When you encounter rough patches along your life journey, trust that My Light is still shining upon you. My reasons for allowing these adversities may be shrouded in mystery, but My continual Presence with you is an absolute promise. Seek Me in good times; seek Me in hard times. Deuteronomy 4:29 (NLT)
29 But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.
Additional insight: Do you want to know God? God promised the Israelites that they would find him when they searched with all their hearts and souls. God is knowable and wants to be known - but we have to want to know him. Acts of service and workship must be accompanied by sincere devotion of the heart. As Hebrews 11:6 says, "Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him." God will reward those who pursue a relationship with him.
Hebrews 10:23 (NLT)
23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
Additional insight: We have significant priveledges associated with our new life in Christ - we may grow in faith, overcome doubts and questions, and deepen our relationship with God.
Psalm 145:19-20 (NLT)
19 He grants the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cries for help and rescues them.
20 The Lord protects all those who love him,
but he destroys the wicked.
Additional insight: Sometimes our burdens seem more than we can bear, and we wonder how we can go on. David stands at this bleak intersection of life's road and meditates on the Lord, the great burden bearer. God is able to lift us up because he hears our cries and rescues us. If you are bending under a burden and feel that you are about to fall, turn to God for help. He is ready to lift you up and bear your burden.

You created me and when you breathed into Adam your DNA was put in him and we all are a part of you. Thank you for this word to help remind us to repent and ask for forgiveness. Amen and thank you for everything you have delivered me from especially the paralyzing depression after moving back to Hot Springs, Arkansas from Colorado Springs where it felt like Heaven it was so nice and the good people I was so fortunate enough to be around. It was so horrible and paralyzing the fear that followed reporting the experience of being abused in a V.A. hospital in NLR, Arkansas in the mid 1980's. Part of the abuse was being beaten tied and choked to near death over and over while my arms and legs were tied with leather straps. It was a horrifying experience and request prayer for anyone else that had to go through that horrible ordeal in any of our institution's designed to help veterans. I request prayer for the good people that have been in my life during those tough times and that they are doing well and blessed. Request prayer for our country too. It seems as crazy as a V.A. hospital sometimes or at least the one I was in during the 1980's. They were ignoring a abscessed tooth for months in 1981. The pain was so horrible and I had to go through it for months and months while in the same hospital too. Request prayer for any other's being mistreated in that place. Request prayer for family and everyone to have a closer relationship with our Lord. That they may be encouraged by what all he has done for me. I have experienced many miracles throughout my life and keep experiencing them by way of medical healings. Thank you, thank you, thank you. P.S. healed from bleeding ulcers, back spasms and a crippling depression after reporting that abuse. Thank you and God bless you for your continued prayers. Also have unspoken ones too. Thank you and God bless you again for this forum to read God's word and request prayer.
