Jesus Calling - July 1st, 2026

Jesus Calling: July 1st

I am Life and Light in abundance. As you spend time "soaking" in My Presence, you are energized and lightened. Through communing with Me, you transfer your heavy burdens to My strong shoulders. By gazing at Me, you gain My perspective on your life. This time alone with Me is essential for unscrambling your thoughts and smoothing out the day before you.
Be willing to fight for this precious time with Me. Opposition comes in many forms: your own desire to linger in bed; the evil one's determination to distract you from Me; the pressure of family, friends, and your own inner critic to spend your time more productively. As you grow in your desire to please Me above all else, you gain strength to resist these opponents. Delight yourself in Me, for I am the deepest Desire of your heart.

RECOMMENDED SCRIPTURE:

Psalm 48:9 (NLT)
9 O God, we meditate on your unfailing love
as we worship in your Temple.

Deuteronomy 33:12 (NLT)
12 Moses said this about the tribe of Benjamin:

“The people of Benjamin are loved by the Lord
and live in safety beside him.
He surrounds them continuously
and preserves them from every harm.”

Additional insight regarding Deuteronomy 33:12: Don't be envious of the gifts others have. Instead, look for the gifts God has given you, resolve to do the tasks he has uniquely qualified you to do, and rejoice that he is calling you to play a unique role in accomplishing his plan on earth.

Psalm 37:4 (NLT)
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.

Additional insight regarding Psalm 37:4-5: David calls us to take delight in the Lord and to commit everything we have and do to him. But how do we do this? To delight in someone means to experience great pleasure and joy in his or her presence. This happens only when we know that person well and when we have been a faithful friend. Thus, to delight in the Lord, we must get to know him better and be faithful in our relationship with him. The certainty of God's great love for us will then indeed give us delight.
To commit ourselves to the Lord means to entrust everything - our lives, families, jobs, and possessions - to his control and guidance. To commit ourselves to the Lord means to trust in him (37:5), believing that he can care for us better than we can ourselves. We should wait patiently (37:7) for him to work out what is best for us.

Your words or advice are so welcoming and often make good sense; and sound easy what to do and be free to enjoy each moment. Disappointments are lifted away like the storm clouds. I have been looking so long for peace and a good job to work out-before I am too old. Some places already consider me too old for certain jobs. So I again pray for either CBC media group, or CNIB or what hasn't come up yet. I will be so glad when something works out. Maybe peace will find me. While I enjoy the birds, flowers, etc. Thanks Amen!

  10. Hello JC family ~ I have been feeling so lonely lately with helping with caregiving my mother long distance. May I please ask for prayer to have a care conference for her due to having serious depression, progression of aging, onset psychodementia from so much trauma, she lost my sister and took a terrible fall. I am so encouraged by this Scripture reading today as Christ as set my mind free from all the stress over the years and he is lifting my spirits with the gifts of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit especially who has been teaching me about turning over all my sin to him and living each day in his light. To be the salt and light. There are so many that don't know you like you want them to. I pray for our world of so much sorrows that you want a world of love. I love you Jesus. Thank you for your extra special care of me this last year. I am truly so grateful to be alive.
