Jesus Calling - May 19th, 2024

Jesus Calling: May 19th

I want you to know how safe and secure you are in My Presence. That is a fact, totally independent of your feelings. You are on your way to heaven; nothing can prevent you from reaching that destination. There you will see Me face to face, and your Joy will be off the charts by any earthly standards. Even now, you are never separated from Me, though you must see Me through eyes of faith. I will walk with you till the end of time, and onward into eternity.
Although My Presence is a guaranteed promise, that does not necessarily change your feelings. When you forget I am with you, you may experience loneliness or fear. It is through awareness of My Presence that Peace displaces negative feelings. Practice the discipline of walking consciously with Me through each day.

RELATED BIBLE VERSES:

1st Corinthians 13:12 NLT
12 Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

Additional insight regarding 1st Corinthians 13:9-12: What if we do a poor job of loving others? Paul gives us hope. (1) Right now we have only impartial and incomplete knowledge; we can't do anything perfectly (13:9). (2) We are immature, like children, in how we love others. As we grow closer to Christ, we will learn to love others better (13:11). (3) We lack clarity about the right way to love. Like a cloudy mirror, we don't perfectly reflect Jesus to others (13:12). (For more from Paul on how we are being transformed, read 2nd Corinthians 3:16-18).

Psalm 29:11 NLT
11 The LORD gives his people strength.
The LORD blesses them with peace.

Additional insight regarding Psalm 29:11: Throughout history, God has revealed his power through mighty miracles over nature, such as the great Flood (Genesis 6-9). He promises to continue to reveal his power. The apostle Paul urged us to understand how great God's power is (Ephesians 1:19-23). The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to help us with our daily problems. When you feel weak and limited, don't despair. Remember that God can give you strength. The same power that controls creation and raises the dead is available to you.
