Jesus Calling: May 16th
I am your Lord! Seek Me as Friend and Lover of your soul, but remember that I am also King of kings--sovereign over all. You can make some plans as you gaze into the day that stretches out before you. But you need to hold those plans tentatively, anticipating that I may have other ideas. The most important thing to determine is what to do right now, instead of scanning the horizon of your life, looking for things that need to be done, concentrate on the task before you and the One who never leaves your side. Let everything else fade into the background. This will unclutter your mind, allowing Me to occupy more and more of your consciousness.Trust Me to show you what to do when you have finished what you are doing now. I will guide you step by step, as you bend your will to Mine. Thus you stay close to Me on the path of Peace.

Today's Prayer: Dear Lord, You are my Friend and Lover of my soul, yet You are also the sovereign King of kings. Help me to hold my plans tentatively, open to Your guidance and direction. In the midst of the day's demands, help me focus on the present task and Your presence with me. Guide me step by step, bending my will to Yours, that I may walk the path of Peace. In Your Name, Amen.
Lord, I need You more than ever. Fill me with Your Peace and Love. Guide my thoughts to Your Holy Righteousness. You know the battle I am going through. I need Your strength to be victorious. All this I ask in Christ Jesus. Amen.

ReplyDeleteLord, forgive me for turning my back on you. Help me to surrender everything I face each day into your hands and abide by your will for my life. All I want is peace from the situation we’re facing. Each day, each interview, each rejection feels like I slip more and more into despair and loneliness. Yet you have blessed me with good friends, and a loving and hard working husband. I truly don’t know where I would be without them. Thank you for giving us a roof over our heads and food in our bellies everyday. A lot of people don’t have that, yet here we are, scraping by with full tummies. Truthfully, if I were in your position, I would have given up on me a long time ago. Your unconditional love still comes back with a fury reminder that your not letting me go, and your not through with me yet. I may not know what job you have for me out there, but I am confident in knowing that you already know what it is. So let this be a fresh start of rebuilding a trust that I threw away. Let this be the beginning of a journey where we walk and talk and be us like we used to be. I’m tired of doing this alone. Like I know everything. Lord, I truly need you. Forgive me of my selfishness. Thank you for your grace. In your name, Amen.
