Jesus Calling: May 14th
I am a mighty God. Nothing is too difficult for Me. I have chosen to use weak ones like you to accomplish My purposes. Your weakness is designed to open you up to My Power. Therefore, do not fear your limitations or measure the day’s demands against your strength. What I require of you is to stay connected to Me, living in trusting dependence on My limitless resources. When you face unexpected demands, there is no need to panic. Remember that I am with you. Talk with Me, and listen while I talk you through each challenging situation.I am not a careless God. When I allow difficulties to come into your life, I equip you fully to handle them. Relax in My Presence, trusting in My Strength.

Additional insight regarding 2nd Corinthians 12:9: Although God did not remove Paul's affliction, he promised to demonstrate his power in Paul. The fact that God's power is displayed in our weaknesses should give us courage and hope. As we recognize our limitations, we will depend more on God for our effectiveness rather than on our own energy, effort, or talent. Our limitations not only help develop Christian character but also deepen our worship because in admitting them, we affirm God's strength.
Today's Prayer: Mighty God, I acknowledge Your power and Your purpose in my life. Despite my weaknesses, I trust in Your strength. Help me not to fear my limitations but to rely on Your limitless resources.
In moments of uncertainty, remind me of Your presence. Teach me to lean on You and find peace in Your strength. Thank You for Your faithfulness, and may Your power be displayed in my weaknesses. In Your Son's name, Amen.

ReplyDeleteAs a recovering drug addict, 2 Cor. 12:9 rings most true. We admitted that we were powerless over alcohol/drugs and that our lives had become unmanageable. Step # 1 At fourteen months clean, i claim victory over addiction in the name of Jesus. Thank you for this link.

DeleteThank you for all of your passages regarding worry, anxiety, stress, weakness. As I struggle with rising costs, trying to decide about downsizing, selling my home etc. Time spent praying has become ESSENTIAL. Praise be to God

ReplyDeleteThank you! After a year and 1/2 of sobriety I relapsed but with God in life I have the strength to get right back to recovery. It is by the Grace of God that I am able to . Thank you for the hope and faith to carry me through. No need to shutdown, it's time to embrace God's powerful love.
